This August, the Dancing Rabbit Ecovillage in Rutledge, MO, will host “Moved to Act,” a climate leadership intensive offered by Aaron Murphy and other instructors. The event takes place from August 12-18, 2016, and is open to a limited number of participants. According to the organizers,
“Moved to Act is an immersive training for supporting activists & culture creators in transforming our unjust social, economic & political structures to a more democratic, sustainable & cooperative world for all.”
The event will include hands-on workshops, social activities, and the chance to immerse yourself in a rural, sustainable ecovillage. The program “combines learning about low-carbon lifestyle options, personal growth work, and direct activism. It’s designed to help you be more effective at creating change at both the systems level and the personal level.”

If you can’t attend but still want to lend your support, there’s a GoFundMe campaign set up to help fund the program. Rewards include webinars on sustainability, as well as Skype coaching with residents of Dancing Rabbit: “Donated funds will go towards scholarships for those who need them, content development, publicizing the program, lining up performers, and subsidizing local and organic food options for this program.”
